Update

So it's been almost a year since I've done any kind of workout. There's been a lot going on. Biggest of which is I had a baby. During my pregnancy, I had gestational diabetes, but it helped with my weight. I ended up losing more weight than gaining and I weighed less after I had him than I did when I got pregnant!

I started out the week at 173 lbs. Not anywhere close to where I want to be, but better than the 190 I was at the time of getting pregnant.

Monday, I started a new workout regimen with my husband. He has me doing two days of lifting, three cardio days and an ab day. It was my first lifting day. It was excruciating, but good at the same time! I did bench with 45 lbs and three sets. My graduation to more weight is 3 sets of 20 reps, but I could only do 20, 18, and 10. I also did arm extensions (2 lbs, 3 sets of 20 reps), flies (2 lbs, 3 sets of 20), curls (5.5lbs 3 sets of 20), squats (no weight, my legs are weak!, 3 sets, 15, 10, 10) and pulldowns (16.5 lbs, 3 sets, 12, 12, 10). I have a "B" workout for lifting, but that is on Wednesday.

Tuesday was kickboxing and cardio. I woke up in a lot of pain from the day before! My arms, abs, back and legs were soooo achy! But I figured my kickboxing and cardio would make them warm again. It was really tiring. I only did 30 minutes consecutively, but those 30 minutes felt like an eternity. He had me do cherry pickers, working the bag, kicking the bag, shadow boxing, working the mitts, and keeping the bag at an angle. It was really hard, and painful!!

Wednesday was my second lifting day. It was pretty hard, but not nearly as hard as Monday's. I must be getting better! I had standing flies, dumbbell military presses, dumbbell rows, shoulder shrugs and wrist curls all with 10 lbs except standing flies. Those are bitches, so I only used 2 lbs. I did 3 sets of 20 reps with all as well other than the militaries. Those are bitches too!

Thursday's cardio was not as bad. Must be doing something right! It consisted of working the bag, jogging, mitts, dancing, and jab strides. The mitts and the jab strides killed my already sore arms. The jab strides also tired me out quick along with the dancing. I was surprised that the jogging didn't. But then again, I found out I was jogging all wrong, and once I corrected my form it was much better. I ended up going for a 2 mile walk as well that day.

Friday was ab day...AKA the day from hell. We do Ab Ripper X from the P90X workout. It is literal ab murder. haha. It is the most intense, painful ab experience I have ever had the displeasure of doing. My husband does it with me, and he whines just as much as I do, and he is quite fit. It even killed my legs!!

Saturday was a fun day. It was dance/video day. I got to use my Just Dance 2014 game my husband got me for Christmas finally! I played it for an hour and a half and I was so sweaty after! I was frustrated though because my damn Kinect kept picking up random things in the room instead of me. Grr! Oh well. I only knew a few songs on this one too, but it was still fun.

And of course, no workout is complete without pairing it with healthy eating. Green smoothies and Lean Cuisines have been my main foods for the past week. I was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious the Lean Cuisines are.
